And the Greenman will protect you and your family because as well as a wonderful wash they are certified free from SLS and Parabens.

Senovės Egipte muilo nebuvo, egiptiečiai vietoje jo kartu naudojo aliejų, žaliųjų citrinų sultis ir kvepalus.[1] Manoma, kad muilą jau vartojo senovės šumerai, babiloniečiai, Senovės Romoje. Vėliau naudojo ir gamino germanai ir galai.

Pramoniniu būdu Europoje muilas pradėtas gaminti XV a. XVII a. pab. gamyba padidėjo atradus pigesnį sodos gaminimo būdą (atr. L. Le Blan, Prancūzija).

Lietuvoje
Lietuvoje pirmosios muilo dirbtuvės įsteigtos XIX a. pradžioje. 1900 m. ypač daug buvo gaminama skystojo muilo Vilniaus ir Kauno gubernijose (apie 4 000 t). XX a. trečiajame dešimtmetyje įsteigti muilo fabrikai Kaune, Klaipėdoje ir Panevėžyje. 1937 m. pagaminta apie 2 800 tonų. 1979 m. buvo pagaminta apie 22 000 tonų muilo.
